THE BAND

ALBERT "BUDDY" DAVIS

lead vocals, keyboards

Born the son of a preacher woman in West Virginia, Buddy started singing in church at an early age. His first musical project, Justice, opened for Rare Earth, Ohio Players, and Larry Graham. Making his way to California, Bud sang with Odysus, The Verge, Masi & Soul, The Rhythm Coalition, and The Buddy Davis Band. He played Vegas for seven years with the Superstar Temptations, and has performed with The Drifters, The Coasters, The Platters and many other national acts. We’re not making this up either!

SYONIA PETERSON

lead vocals, piano

Syonia started playing music at age 10 and singing in church at 14. She has played the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, casinos in California and Nevada, and all points local. Syonia loves nothing more than some tasty tight chords, stacked harmony, and good tequila. She’s a simple girl---in a complex sort of way.

ANN MARIE WOODWARD

lead vocals, percussion

A unique and talented artist, Ann Marie has performed throughout California. We are not entirely sure where Ann Marie originated, as she has no recollection of her early existence outside of random memories of traveling with various gypsies, tramps, and thieves. Vocal skill and sweet, sweet harmonies are her forte. She also plays some mean percussion!

SAM BUTLER

lead guitar

Sam has been playing on the Sacramento music scene for over 40 years. He co-founded Bandwidth with a vision of combining great vocals with solid musicianship. And when it comes to singing, Sam plays excellent guitar. A devotee to Fender Strats and tube amps, his major influences include the Allman Brothers, the Everly Brothers, and the Marx Brothers.

DAVE CANADY

bass guitar, vocals

Starting on guitar back in high school, Dave has been performing music, singing, and playing a dozen different instruments in a wide range of musical styles including folk, classic rock, alternative rock, country, bluegrass, and even stage musicals. Prior bands include a 50’s rock & roll show called Del Scorpion & The Stingers, as well as the Sacramento area bands Busted and Still Kicking. When not rocking on bass with Bandwidth, Dave performs with the acoustic duo The DT’s.

CHRIS MALONE

drums, vocals

After an unsuccessful career in Mr. Universe competitions, Chris decided that he was better off playing drums in a really good dance cover band. An improbable series of events involving a traveling circus and a Kyrgyzstani beauty queen brought him into contact with Bandwidth...and the rest is history. As an impressionable youth growing up in New Jersey, Chris idolized such iconic drummers as Neil Peart, Stewart Copeland, and John Bonham. He's not nearly as good as they are, but he can still hold down a pretty good groove.
